AMMAN — President of Gas Stations Owners Association (GSOA), Nahar Seidat, stated the Association will increase prices if the Government does not meet their demand to increase commissions per litre by JOD0.005, tied to inflation.

In a meeting with Jordan news agency (Petra), Seidat requested that a portion of international grants be allocated to the support of gas cylinder distributors North of the Kingdom, as running costs increase and profit margins decrease, in addition to smoothing up the legal registration procedures; noting that the value of investment in the fuel and gas sector amounts to around JOD700 million, JOD500 of which are invested in stations, with the rest in gas, as the latter’s daily capital in circulation touches at JOD500 thousand.
