AMMAN — A house in the Umm Al Basatin area of the Naour province was breached by security forces, mistakenly, as personnel were under the impression that the residence was inhabited by a wanted fugitive.

Dozens of security personnel breached the house of citizen Bassam Faleh, during the early hours of the morning yesterday, Monday, ruining possessions and properties at his, his parents’, and brother’s houses, and terrorising the residents, according to the complaint issued by Faleh to the respective authorities, acquired by “Al Ghad”.

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) launched an inquiry today, Tuesday, on the mishaps of the breach and resulting damages to the citizen, his family, and possessions.

The District Attorney reviewed the case and issued a warrant to recall the unit that conducted the breach and all its personnel.

According to security sources, the wanted fugitive is classified as “highly dangerous”, and lives in a house around 100 meters away from Faleh’s. Notably, the fugitive has yet to be apprehended.
