AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah II received today, Sunday, Singaporean Premiere Lee Hsien Loong, in the Royal Husseiniyeh Palace, noting that Jordan looks forward to reinforcing ties with Singapore, particularly in the spheres of economics and investment, underlining the importance of continuing joint efforts to uncover new potentialities for economic cooperation.

In this regard, His Majesty also outlined the vitality of capitalising on the Free Trade Agreement between the two countries, which contributes to the founding of new marketplaces and markets for the exports of both countries and strengthens commerce.

Moreover, the meet covered areas of collaboration in terms of countering terrorism and the development of new global security measures that would safeguard the welfare of societies worldwide.

Additionally, The Monarch and Prime Minister discussed the situation in Syria and the static state of the peace process in Palestine, as on his part, Loong reaffirmed Singapore’s commitment to reinforcement of mutual interests and long term cooperation, highlighting his administration’s admiration of Jordan’s ability to retain stability and security in spite of the regional situation.

His Majesty held an a lunch feast in honour of the Singaporean Premiere and delegation, as the meet was attended by the Royal Court Chief, Jordan deputy Premier, and foreign affairs Minister and other officials.
