Income Tax Department Fines Late Declaration Submissions

AMMAN —Al Ghad— The Income and Sales Tax Department confirmed that delay in the submission of income declaration by legal deadline, April 30th, will be subject to JOD100-500 fine, in addition extended evaluation procedures.

The Department announced that declarations are best submitted over the remnant duration of the current month, preferably as soon as possible, and that assigned citizens should mind filling up the forms with actual figures and information on their income from activity over the year 2015.

Moreover, the department alerted that delay in the payment of amounts due on the taxpayers, including the sums declared before the legal deadline, will charge a JOD4,000 per week overdue or any part thereof week.

Provided via the Department’s website, are income declaration and other related income tax forms are made available for all segments of taxpayers for 2015, including guidance packaged; www.istd.gov.jo. The forms are printable and are to be delivered to the Department.
