AMMAN —Al Ghad— Foreign Affairs Ministry Speaker, Sabah Rafei, stated to “Al Ghad” that news deliberated recently on a Jordanian citizen stabbed in Eilat are not true, noting that the Ministry contacted Israeli Authorities through the Embassy in Tel Aviv, and was in turn reassured that no incident of the sort has taken place.

Originally, Palestinian media circulated news on a Jordanian in his 40’s having been stabbed during a fight that broke out with an Israeli.

Contrarily, Israeli media said that the Jordanian citizen, who knew the Israeli, threatened the latter with a knife for reasons still unknown, when the Israeli and other pass-byers attacked him and landed injuries with his own knife.

The victim was transported to a hospital in Eilat, and is currently under arrest at the hospital and is being investigated.
