Gov’t Refers 6 Amendment Bills to “Representatives”

AMMAN —Al Ghad— The Government referred 6 legislative amendment bills to the Lower House (Representatives) of Parliament, in line with the recent Constitutional Amendments passed by Parliament this week.

Chief among bills referred, are amendments to the newly incorporated Elections Law, and the laws of the Independent Elections Commission, regarding permissions to multi-national appointment in the listed among other bodies, next to amendments to the appointment capacities for the Chief of the Judiciary Council and other positions, to be incorporated to the Kings authorities.

According to the referred bills, His Majesty’s capacities in appointment will be expanded to include the appointment of the Chief of the Judiciary Council and the heads of the Gendarmerie, and the General Intelligence Directorate.
