Oil and Gold Decline, US Dollar Steady

INT’L (NY, MELBORNE) — Oil prices declined 3.6 and 2.6 per cent today, Monday, to USD43.70 and USD43.46 per barrel of Brent and Texas Crude oils, respectively, in the aftermath of the Canadian oil fires combined with increased American reserves.

As for Gold, the liquid (short-term) transaction value of gold declined 0.7 per cent today, Monday, to USD1,279.80 per ounce of gold, while retaining support against the stead value of the United States Dollar, as investors are betting interest inflation will be delayed, according to American reports.

In accrued terms, gold value declined around 1 per cent to USD1,281.80.
