MANILA — Gold gained in Asian transactions today, Wednesday, from its lowest levels in two weeks, as the American Dollar loses marginally on interest. Experts say Gold is not, however, expected to gain a shooting increase, as losses incurred by the US Dollar will remain limited.

Transaction values of gold remain about 20 per cent higher than levels at the beginning of the year, while failing to penetrate the USD1,300/ounce limit convincingly last week; gold price ranges gained 0.38 per cent and 0.61 per cent to USD1,270.80  and USD1,272.50 per ounce for liquidated and American contracted transactions accrued for June, respectively.
