AMMAN — The median price index for farm produce dropped 9.4 per cent in March, 2016, at 102 points, compared to 113 for the same period last year, according to the report issued by the Department of Statistics, indicating the decline was driven by the decrease in the prices of eggplant, tomatoes, sweet and hot pepper, kidney beans, green beans, squash, potatoes, and flower.

On the upside, the price indices for peas, lemon, banana, and cucumber, have increased.
