Rehabilitation of 130 Impoverished Houses in Palestinian Refugee Camps

AMMAN —Al Ghad— The Cabinet in session yesterday, Sunday, presided by Premiere Dr Abdullah Nsoor, passed the bill for the 2016 Electoral Circit Legislation, in the aftermath of the issuance of the Royal Decree to pass the bill for the 6th Representative elections legislation for 2016, decreasing the number of Representative MPs to 130, with 15 dedicated quota seats for women, next to whatever seats attained by women of the 115 remaining.

On another note, the Cabinet also agreed to allocate the necessary funding for the execution of the 7th phase of the rehabilitation project of 130 impoverished houses, belonging to Palestinian refugee families in poverty, located in refugee camps around Jordan, in cooperation with the Department for Palestinian Affairs, that’s the funds be allocated from the budget of the Planning and International Cooperation ministry’s designated finances for the Social Safety and Security Programme 2016.

So far, since the launch of the Rehabilitation Project in 2004, 1996 houses have been rehabilitated.
