IMF Agreement Not Signed; IMF Delegation to Leave Soon

AMMAN —Al Ghad— Informed sources with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), confirmed to “Al Ghad” that the IMF mission to Jordan will leave the Country tomorrow, Thursday, pending return for further deliberation with the new government on the new IMF reform agreement, stating that Premier Hani Mulqi will require time to look over the details of the Programme, following recent meets with Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) Governor Dr Zyad Freiz, entailing detailed reviews of the accord, economic challenges anticipated, and effects on targeted growth rates.

Sources say no imminent agreement is to be expected in the meantime.
