Terrorists Target GID Office in Baqaa; 5 Fatalities

AMMAN/BAQAA —Al Ghad— A terrorist assault on the General Intelligence Directorate (GID) Baqaa office at 5:50AM today, Monday, north of the Capital, Amman, killed 5 GID personnel; 3 officers, the operator, and guard, according to the statements of State Minister for Media Affairs, Dr Mohammad Momani, they are 1st Class Sgt Luai Mohammed Faraj Zyoud, Corp Hani Salim Moussa Qaaidah, Corp Omar Ahmed Falih Hiari, Soldier Ahmed Abdul Karim Mohammed Harahsheh, and Solier Mahmoud Khalaf Abdul Razzaq Awamleh, may they rest in peace.

Surveillance cameras were able to capture the vehicle of the terrorists who pulled the attack, and it is currently being traced.

On the other hand, “Al Ghad” was informed that an eye witness is being investigated, as he is said to have heard gunshots and has seen the escape care sprint out, close by to the GID office after the execution.

Security experts stated to “Al Ghad” that the attack is probably related to the Irbid terrorist cell previously apprehended, and that the choice of timing, especially on the first day of the Holy Month, Ramadan; was factor to the strength of the operation.

Criminal labs collected dozens of empty cartridges at the site, and confirm the firearms used in the attack were automatic.

Media had deliberated news on the assailant terrorist having been apprehended. Official sources deny, and reaffirm that the executioners of the attack are yet to be detained.
