AMMAN — The President of the National Society of Consumer Protection, Dr Mohammad Obeidat, stated to the Jordan News Agency “Petra”, Tuesday, that the rise is probably caused by an oligopoly over the market, practiced by importers undersupplying the market with imported lemon.

The Society, according to Obeidat, has received several complaints on the rocketing rise in lemon prices to unprecedented levels, over the recent duration.
