Global Study: 59% of “Shares” are “Blind” and 66% of Jordanians on FB

AMMAN —Al Ghad— Consultant and Social Media trainer Khaled Ahmad, confirmed to “Al Ghad” that users of social media networking platforms are on the rise; with increasing awareness of SM importance today, 66 per cent of Jordanians use Facebook, based on the 4.4 million FB users registered in Jordan, out of 6.6 million Jordanians, excluding refugees and foreigners.

On the other hand, a recent study conducted by computer experts at the Columbia University in America and the French National Institute, cited in the Washington Post; uncovered that 59 per cent of social media users share contents on SM platforms based on titles only, without reading into the contents of shared material.

The study also exposed that most of the traffic on news comes shares on social media platforms, not the news media itself.
