Global and Domestic Solidarity with Jordan

AMMAN —Al Ghad— Secretary General of the UN, Ban Ki-moon, made a statement Wednesday night, condemning the attack on the Rukban Military Post in Jordan, leading to the death of 6 troops and the injury of 14, conveying condolences to the families and the fallen soldiers, and expressing solidarity with Jordan and Jordanians

 

Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Bahrain, Turkey, France, and the US, among other countries around the world, denounced the attack on Jordanian north eastern borders, and called for consolidation with the Jordanian people and government.

 

Domestically, the Senate, former ministers and members of parliament, political parties, professional associations, academic figures and Sharia clerics expressed their condemnation of the attack, and called on the Jordanian people to stand in solidarity with the Jordanian people and army, expressing their condolences to the families of the fallen troops.
