ANKARA — The rising interest in sports world wide inflated revenues from the global sports market to an estimated USD100 billion in 2017, exceeding the GDIs of 130 countries around the world, as indicated by the study published by ATKearney, a leading global management consulting firm, which points out that revenues from ticketing, rights, sponsorship, and broadcasting will reach USD91 billion in 2016, from USD46.5 billion in 2005, and around JOD88 billion in 2015, comprised mainly by football in Europe, at more than 80 per cent of the sports market.

In total, the integrated global sports sector is worth roughly USD600 billion, with Europe citing the highest expenditure growth rates on sports, accelerating twice as fast as the national GDI growth in Britain, and 3 folds as fast as that of France.

On the other hand, Andolu News Agency quoted sports sciences academic, Sabahul Din Oghlo, stating that it is expected that 300 million people will be watching the Euro 2016, via television broadcast.
