Families Protest in front of Ministry of Education

AMMAN —Al Ghad— A number of Jordanians, who graduated from Saudi Arabia, and their parents protested in front of the Ministry of Education, Monday, over the decision to suspend equivalency certificates for high school diplomas issued in countries that do not hold national examination.

Protestors demanded the decision either be put off, annulled, or amended to entail a temporary calculation method in accordance to the official Saudi admissions criteria, 40 to 50 per cent, with the remaining percentage allocated to placement examination. Additionally, protestors requested their high school certificates to be ratified as soon as possible, in order to give students enough time to apply to universities in Jordan.
