Domestic Liquidity Exceeds JOD32b

AMMAN —Al Ghad— Domestic liquidity increased by 1.4 per cent over the first quarter of the year 2016, by JOD451 million, compared to closing levels in 2015, according to data by the Central Bank of Jordan, totalling at JOD32.056 billion in April, from JOD31.605 by the end of last year.

Deposits at domestic banks also increased to JOD28.005 billion in April, by 1.2 per cent, an amount equivalent to JOD333.3 million, compared to a JOD1.117 billion increase in the same duration in 2015.
