Israel Starts Building New Settlement near Nablus

RAMALLAH — Israeli authorities on Monday started building the new "Amihai" settlement near the West Bank city of Nablus, to house the residents of the "Amona" outpost, which was evacuated this year, the Israeli Seventh Channel revealed.

It said that the Israeli Interior Minister, Aryeh Deri, informed officials that all legal procedures related to the former "Amona" outpost have been completed and the construction of the new settlement would begin today.

The Israeli government allocated some approximately USD80 million to build the new settlement of Amihai.
