‘JSF’ Estimates Allocations for Scientific Research at USD260m

AMMAN —AlGhad— A recent Jordan Strategies Forum (JSF)’s report estimated total allocations for scientific research and development at 0.43 per cent of total GDP, approximately USD260 million.

The report concluded that Jordan is still behind on research and development and has yet to put together an R&D policy.

As a result, research in Jordan remains fragmented and non-systematic, at best bringing benefit to investors rather than for the greater good.
