AMMAN —AlGhad— The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) carried out several raids south of Amman today, Tuesday, and arrested 10 individuals, found in possession of drugs and firearms, a police source confirmed.
Quantities of drugs and numerous firearms were confiscated at the houses the Anti-Narcotics teams raided earlier today.
The detainees’ charges range from possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking to trafficking and promoting drugs, as well as the illegal possession of firearms.
Police confiscated eight weapons, in addition to ten kilogrammes of marijuana, 2,500 narcotic pills and 15 bags of synthetic weeds (Joker).
The detainees are currently in police custody and will be referred to the Attorney General’s office for trial at the Court of State Security.
